"Beauty of handmade lies in their imperfections, anything perfect is machine-made"
I don't post often my own projects, original ones usually are so perfect that I almost fell guilty posting my results instead of what the owner of the project does.
But this time I am so happy with the result, I really proudly feel it's time to stop being shy.
Let me introduce you to my lovely, new born in times of lockdown, wall mandala:
A lovely 60 cm diameter hula hoop + t-shirt cotton yarn = total cost less than 5 eur and such a lovely result. Fast and easy, I followed the instructions and pattern of this Serenity Mandala Wall Hanging Crochet Pattern by Kristin Omdahl and it went on really fast!

Am I the only one looking forward to the fall arrival?
I've always been a total supporter of the summer days, the walks with the evening breeze, exploring the coast surrounded by nature,... However, I have to admit that the more the years pass the more I like and enjoy also the rest of the seasons... and fall is surely one of them!
You probably just came back to the daily routine, like me, or you are maybe one of the lucky ones who still is enjoying the holidays. So I found myself these days looking for new crochet ideas and projects, already starting to think about Christmas presents (hehe I am a bit crazy, I know), and I found this lovely free pattern, designed by Michele Wilcox and published by www.redheart.com
Starting to work to winter projects can be still complicated, especially if you live like me in a warm Country... so why don't we start with a lovely free crochet pattern in cotton? An easy jet truly beautiful wreath that you can hang to a window to enjoy it from the inside of your home, or you can use it to add a touch of autumn to your front door.
Follow the link below and... Have a lovely day crocheting!
If you are looking for a simple "therapeutic" project to start the autumn with calm, this is the post for you!
It was like founding it and immediately falling in love with it; I already talked in previous posts on how crochet can help you relieve stress while, in the meantime, you also create something beautiful... and this project it's perfect with its simplicity, you basically have to repeat a lovely and easy crochet macaron stitch... until you reach the number of "yoyos" you need to complete the size you have in mind.
But let me get back on track hehe. You will fall in love with this backpack, one thing I wanted to try is also to adapt it maybe using cotton yarn or even better old t-shirts, what do you think? Feel free always to share with us your doubts, thoughts and why not, show us your work!
Happy day crocheting!
Dear crochet maniacs,
today's project has something really special, I can say I have the honor to publish one of my mother projects.
You have to know that my passion from crochet comes from my mother, she is the best crochetter I know and since I have memory she made beatiful projects come true one after the other. She really is an artist, the one that can crochet, knit, make dolls, design clothes and even paint! I know you will think that it's my mother and it's kind of normal that I KNOW she is the best one (hehe) but seriously, I can probably make a blog only with her projects and going on for a looooooot of time.
She lives in Italy and some months ago she sent me a beautiful dress that came together with matching crochet earrings done by herself.
The result with the pearls it's really elegant and perfect for these late summer evenings.
Good morning lovely crochet maniacs.

With this change you will for sure have some t-shirts that you have to trow away.... stop!!! hahaha keep them and turn them in a beautiful crochet rug!
Obviously you can also buy the materials but reclycling gives it this thouch more that will allow you to feel even prouder with your project in the end.

Today's project is all about the Carnival, and don't worry, it's super fast to make so you plenty of time to finish it before this amazing festive season is over.

They could then carry the mask, thankful to find a measure of equality lost in the course of time later, when under borrowed clothes; the noblemen still fraternized with the people.
In return for political inaction, the people became attached to this glorious pomp which characterized memorial holidays of Venice, when conflicts between the big families were forgotten; in hunt of bulls and of course the festivals of the carnival, which served for showing all seductions of wealth, all fads of fashion.
Venice carnival masks for all! During the holidays, and especially carnival, ardor and joy burst with life, harmony of colors, pomp and emulation of luxury.
To avoid public resentment, a law forbade the rich men Venetian to wear their jewelry publicly, except during official holidays and during the last carnival days! Carnival allowed them to finally satisfy all their affectations.
In the middle of active, mobile, cheerful multitude, among the flickering torches and the noise of the trumpets, circulated masks of a thousand disguises in fancy scintillating dresses of gold and gems, and matrons in precious dresses with trains so immense they were carried by maidservants.
In the middle of this mélange, the people were rather good and peaceful. Seldom did the huge crowd have any brawls or menacing gestures. There was no need for police officers or security forces: the throngs passed peaceful and merry across calli, like a true family celebration.
Now let's get started and Happy Day Crocheting! :)
