"Beauty of handmade lies in their imperfections, anything perfect is machine-made"
If you feel that it's coming the time for a bigger project but you think you are not fully realy for it.... well this post might just work for you.
It's a super easy free crochet pattern, again from our beloved page One Dog Woof, for a super cute crochet top. Depending on the tipe of yarn you use it can be a good project also for spring time, just skip wool for cotton.... and that's it.
It comes with step-by-step instruction plus some videos and pictures to help you with the project. No excuses, the "medium" level, my dearest beginner crochet maniacs, it's just around the corner!
In our homes we can never miss useful baskets or let's call them "empty pockets" and yes, passion for crochet comes to give us a hand this time too!
I would say that the bathroom is his natural habitat but they are also very useful to compose choreographic center table that can hold anything, especially if decorated with ribbons ad hoc and flower buds scattered around them.
Truly, we can find in the web hundreds of crochet baskets made by the most "bizarre shapes" and stitches, but we picked this one as it gives this lovely and romantic "granny" and vintage feeling we love so much.
New year, new project! Another pick up from www.makeanddocrew.com, this lovely pattern for a DYI hooded blanket will quickly become the best project for you to start this new year full of surprises!
As usual with this page, it's very well explained, with step-by-step pictures plus some video content to help you, my beloved beginner crochet maniacs. :)
It comes with instructions for different sizes and as usual, you can use the combination of yarn colors you prefer.
Enjoy this free crochet pattern! ...but don't wait too much! Spring it's just around the corner!
Today’s project is a nice and very well explained video by Esperanza y Ana Celia Rosas, from Peru. A really nice super easy and super fast DYI project, just as we love it!
It’s a perfect crochet hat for wintertime which completes the gloves from the other day click here! :) Plumb braids and crab edges which comes in ALL SIZES!
The video is in Spanish however, I’m pretty sure you’ll realize you won’t even need the audio to go on fast with it. Still, to help you a bit here you can check out some important points translated, especially in terms of sizes, which goes from a newborn up to adult!
You will need…
3mm crochet hook
Yarn: recommended for a 4mm
45g // newborn
60g // 3-6 months
80g // 6 months - 2 years
100-300g // kid
160g // adult
Start your project with…
46 chains // newborn
56 chains // 3-6 months
64 chains // 6 months - 2 years
72-76 chains // kid
84 chains // adult
Then the work goes on with the same system for all sizes so you can just continue the rows as you worked the first ones.
When it comes the part of the reduction to close the top of our almost finished project take into account that the first 3 rows are actually the same in every size. However, if you are working on a newborn size you have to stop the standard reduction at raw 3; for an adult size, you’ll have to continue it until raw 7!
….plus 2 last raws in the end, again common in all sizes.
Christmas is gone... but winter we can say that basically just started!!! So well... if you like this season but especially if you don't (like me hehe) this post may be just the right one for you!
I was looking for an easy tutorial for beginners for making a nice pair of gloves, which just need the use of the crochet and yarn... and here I found it!
It has written instruction plus photographic steps... and the possibility to download and keep the pdf with a small "donation" on the page.
It comes in adult and child sized to make sure everyone is happy! :) Enjoy!
This lovely tree made by snowflakes is made with a 4mm crochet hook, which makes it faster to do then it looks. You can use as well the hook size that feels most comfortable and gives you preferred results, it will just change in size for the whole project but for example if you recicle an old frame you can adapt the size to it so you'll always have perfect results!
Easy step-by-step instructions which will allow you to make another easy and lovely DIY Christmas decoration :)
First of all let me tell you that my cat is a really big fan of paper balls. Nothing is better then a paper ball, not even the most expensive toys on the market.
She was used as well to "bring it back"... yeah like a little sweet dog hahaha. :) ...but since we moved she's not into it that much so we usually end up trowing the ball and, after a bit of playing she just leaves it somewere really well hidden.... to start playing again with it in the middle of the night (you can imagine were the paper ball ends when we wake up).
Said so... I found a really cool crochet pattern for a simple cat toy, a DIY really easy to make. It's done reclicling one or half toilet paper tube and, as it doesn't need lots of yarn, it can be also done with pieces left from other crafts.
Second round with Christmas Decorations. :) I wanted to find some easy crafts that can help you decorating your Christmas Three for this upcoming holidays... and here they are. Three easy-to-make patterns filled in completely with Christmas spirit will add an home-made touch to your decorations.
If you’re looking for a basket of specific dimensions or you just want another idea for a nice gift…. you found the right post!
Rectangular with rounded corners, this nice crochet basket is different from others as it’s made by rope crocheted together. This makes it quite more resistant so you can experiment with bigger sizes. It uses a technique similar to thrumming, were you crochet over another thread to add bulk to a fabric.
It can be thought as well as a special gift for a crocheting maniac, completing the pack filling it in with yarn, crochet hooks, books,….
