"Beauty of handmade lies in their imperfections, anything perfect is machine-made"
My dear Crochet Maniacs, today’s project it’s a simple yet beautiful DYI yoga mat bag, which is a bit different from the other Yoga Mat Bag Crochet free Patterns we already published a couple of months ago.
I’m getting ready for a new journey, tomorrow I’ll start hot yoga classes and I really needed an easy DYI bag to carry my yoga mat. Well, I think I found the perfect one, super cozy and personalized with a bit of magic in it.
Happy week crocheting!
We like to start with a flexible ring, but if you feel that is too complicated start chaining 5 and join a ring with a slip stitch.
Round 1: 15 sc in the ring
Round 2, 3 and 4: 2 sc in each stitch
Round 5 and 6: 1 sc in each stitch
Round 7: 2 sc in each stitch
Round 8, 9 and 10: 1 sc in each stitch
Round 11: ch 3, dc in next 2 s. ch 2. *dc in next 3 s, ch 2* Repeat between *and * throughout the round. Slip stitch to 1st s.
Round 12: ch 3, 3 dc in the opening. *ch 2. 3 dc in the opening* Repeat between *and * throughout the round. Slip stitch to 1st s.
Repeat the last round until the bag is long enough.
Round 1: 1 sc in each s.
Round 2: *ch 2, insert the hook in the 3rd st and dc in this and the next s* Repeat between *and * throughout the round. Slip stitch to 1st s.
Make an i-cord:
Cast on 4 s on DPN´s. k 1 row. *Do NOT turn the work, but slide the stitches to the other end of the needle and knit them again with the working yarn tightened behind the work*. Repeat until the cord is long enough. Bind off.
Thread the cord through the holes and sew both ends to the bottom of the bag.
