"Beauty of handmade lies in their imperfections, anything perfect is machine-made"
I don't post often my own projects, original ones usually are so perfect that I almost fell guilty posting my results instead of what the owner of the project does.
But this time I am so happy with the result, I really proudly feel it's time to stop being shy.
Let me introduce you to my lovely, new born in times of lockdown, wall mandala:
A lovely 60 cm diameter hula hoop + t-shirt cotton yarn = total cost less than 5 eur and such a lovely result. Fast and easy, I followed the instructions and pattern of this Serenity Mandala Wall Hanging Crochet Pattern by Kristin Omdahl and it went on really fast!
You want an easy project, that gives fast results and will look perfect in your home? This is definitely the one for you!
Have a lovely day crocheting.
Am I the only one looking forward to the fall arrival?
I've always been a total supporter of the summer days, the walks with the evening breeze, exploring the coast surrounded by nature,... However, I have to admit that the more the years pass the more I like and enjoy also the rest of the seasons... and fall is surely one of them!
You probably just came back to the daily routine, like me, or you are maybe one of the lucky ones who still is enjoying the holidays. So I found myself these days looking for new crochet ideas and projects, already starting to think about Christmas presents (hehe I am a bit crazy, I know), and I found this lovely free pattern, designed by Michele Wilcox and published by www.redheart.com
Starting to work to winter projects can be still complicated, especially if you live like me in a warm Country... so why don't we start with a lovely free crochet pattern in cotton? An easy jet truly beautiful wreath that you can hang to a window to enjoy it from the inside of your home, or you can use it to add a touch of autumn to your front door.
Follow the link below and... Have a lovely day crocheting!
If you are looking for a simple "therapeutic" project to start the autumn with calm, this is the post for you!
It was like founding it and immediately falling in love with it; I already talked in previous posts on how crochet can help you relieve stress while, in the meantime, you also create something beautiful... and this project it's perfect with its simplicity, you basically have to repeat a lovely and easy crochet macaron stitch... until you reach the number of "yoyos" you need to complete the size you have in mind.
One Dog Woof is for sure one of our favorite pages, it always has clean and colorful project with very well explained tutorials.

With this change you will for sure have some t-shirts that you have to trow away.... stop!!! hahaha keep them and turn them in a beautiful crochet rug!
Obviously you can also buy the materials but reclycling gives it this thouch more that will allow you to feel even prouder with your project in the end.
Follow the link below and mix up your own colours to fastly have this wonderful rug in your home! :)

In our homes we can never miss useful baskets or let's call them "empty pockets" and yes, passion for crochet comes to give us a hand this time too!
I would say that the bathroom is his natural habitat but they are also very useful to compose choreographic center table that can hold anything, especially if decorated with ribbons ad hoc and flower buds scattered around them.
Truly, we can find in the web hundreds of crochet baskets made by the most "bizarre shapes" and stitches, but we picked this one as it gives this lovely and romantic "granny" and vintage feeling we love so much.
New year, new project! Another pick up from www.makeanddocrew.com, this lovely pattern for a DYI hooded blanket will quickly become the best project for you to start this new year full of surprises!
As usual with this page, it's very well explained, with step-by-step pictures plus some video content to help you, my beloved beginner crochet maniacs. :)
It comes with instructions for different sizes and as usual, you can use the combination of yarn colors you prefer.
Enjoy this free crochet pattern! ...but don't wait too much! Spring it's just around the corner!
This lovely tree made by snowflakes is made with a 4mm crochet hook, which makes it faster to do then it looks. You can use as well the hook size that feels most comfortable and gives you preferred results, it will just change in size for the whole project but for example if you recicle an old frame you can adapt the size to it so you'll always have perfect results!

Well this carpet is really easy, suitable for beginners with XXL hook and chunky crochet.
It consists of 14 hexagons arranged in three rows: five, four in the middle, and five on the sides, but can be expanded to the size you want just by adding more hexagons everywhere.
Each hexagon is formed by 4 rows of single crochet (UK double crochet), plus the central chain circle; so the only points that we use are:
sc: single crochet (UK double crochet)
ss: slip stitch
R4: Turn. 2ch (which count as the first sc). 1 sc in each one of the next 2 sc. (3 sc in the next sc. 1 sc in each one of the next 5 sc) * 5 times. 3 sc in the next sc. 1sc in the next two sc. join with one ss in the second ch. (48 points).
A centerpiece is not just a decorative object, it's also extremely practical to protect the dining table from scratches, especially if you have children at home.
The idea is to do your own centerpiece to match the rest of the colors of the living room. You just have to choose the right colors and shades, the rest is simple. You only need to do the necessary circles according to the measures of your table... and it's done!
Sweet set of crochet coasters for the dining table to add a romantic touch to your home. Check full instructions on crafts.tutsplus.
