If you are looking for a simple "therapeutic" project to start the autumn with calm, this is the post for you!
It was like founding it and immediately falling in love with it; I already talked in previous posts on how crochet can help you relieve stress while, in the meantime, you also create something beautiful... and this project it's perfect with its simplicity, you basically have to repeat a lovely and easy crochet macaron stitch... until you reach the number of "yoyos" you need to complete the size you have in mind.
But let me get back on track hehe. You will fall in love with this backpack, one thing I wanted to try is also to adapt it maybe using cotton yarn or even better old t-shirts, what do you think? Feel free always to share with us your doubts, thoughts and why not, show us your work!
Happy day crocheting!
This was just too cute to be true. I couldn't believe at my eyes when I saw it. haha I know it has been like a bunny attack lately and we are so sorry for it, but yeah, Easter and Spring... you know... the temptation is hard!

Today’s project is a nice and very well explained video by Esperanza y Ana Celia Rosas, from Peru. A really nice super easy and super fast DYI project, just as we love it!
It’s a perfect crochet hat for wintertime which completes the gloves from the other day click here! :) Plumb braids and crab edges which comes in ALL SIZES!
The video is in Spanish however, I’m pretty sure you’ll realize you won’t even need the audio to go on fast with it. Still, to help you a bit here you can check out some important points translated, especially in terms of sizes, which goes from a newborn up to adult!
You will need…
3mm crochet hook
Yarn: recommended for a 4mm
45g // newborn
60g // 3-6 months
80g // 6 months - 2 years
100-300g // kid
160g // adult
Start your project with…
46 chains // newborn
56 chains // 3-6 months
64 chains // 6 months - 2 years
72-76 chains // kid
84 chains // adult
Then the work goes on with the same system for all sizes so you can just continue the rows as you worked the first ones.
When it comes the part of the reduction to close the top of our almost finished project take into account that the first 3 rows are actually the same in every size. However, if you are working on a newborn size you have to stop the standard reduction at raw 3; for an adult size, you’ll have to continue it until raw 7!
….plus 2 last raws in the end, again common in all sizes.
Christmas is gone... but winter we can say that basically just started!!! So well... if you like this season but especially if you don't (like me hehe) this post may be just the right one for you!
I was looking for an easy tutorial for beginners for making a nice pair of gloves, which just need the use of the crochet and yarn... and here I found it!
It has written instruction plus photographic steps... and the possibility to download and keep the pdf with a small "donation" on the page.
It comes in adult and child sized to make sure everyone is happy! :) Enjoy!
If you’re looking for a basket of specific dimensions or you just want another idea for a nice gift…. you found the right post!
Rectangular with rounded corners, this nice crochet basket is different from others as it’s made by rope crocheted together. This makes it quite more resistant so you can experiment with bigger sizes. It uses a technique similar to thrumming, were you crochet over another thread to add bulk to a fabric.
It can be thought as well as a special gift for a crocheting maniac, completing the pack filling it in with yarn, crochet hooks, books,….
You will need:
Adorable Turtle Amigurumi that can come out of its shell, or you can sew shell to body. The underside of the shell is a vest with buttons on it.
Well this carpet is really easy, suitable for beginners with XXL hook and chunky crochet.
It consists of 14 hexagons arranged in three rows: five, four in the middle, and five on the sides, but can be expanded to the size you want just by adding more hexagons everywhere.
Each hexagon is formed by 4 rows of single crochet (UK double crochet), plus the central chain circle; so the only points that we use are:
sc: single crochet (UK double crochet)
ss: slip stitch
R4: Turn. 2ch (which count as the first sc). 1 sc in each one of the next 2 sc. (3 sc in the next sc. 1 sc in each one of the next 5 sc) * 5 times. 3 sc in the next sc. 1sc in the next two sc. join with one ss in the second ch. (48 points).
